We wanted to take a moment and update you regarding our response to the effects of the Coronavirus on parish life. *Beginning Friday, March 20th, 2020 the parish Business Office will be closed to the public. Staff will continue to work, but we ask that you make an appointment if you would like to come in. Coronavirus precautions recommended by the CDC are requested to be followed. *Priests are available for confession by appointment only. 515-955-6077 Coronavirus precautions recommended by the CDC are requested to be followed. *Please continue to check our "Coronavirus Response Page" on the parish website www.holytrinitywci.org (also the link attached to this post below) to be kept up to date regarding opportunities and resources to practice our faith during this time. *Daily Mass is being livestreamed via the parish Face Book at 7am Monday through Saturday. It is then uploaded on to the home page of our website for easy access. *We will continue to broadcast at 8:30am on KVFD 1400AM Sunday Mass. *We will additionally be livestreaming a 9:30am Sunday Mass on Face Book and then uploading on to our website's homepage. Please go to our "Coronavirus Response Page" on our website to find Spiritual Communion prayer and booklet, and other documents and links.

We do have some good news! Begining Wednesday, March 18th, Corpus Christi Church will be open daily from 3:00-5:30pm for parishioners to come pray. This will be a come and go time of prayer. Please utilize hantizer when you enter and stay a distance from others that are there praying. Additionally, we will begin to live stream 7:00am daily Mass, tomorrow March 8th on Face Book. It was announced that all Masses in the Diocese of Sioux City are to be suspended, beginning immediately, for 8 weeks. There are further mandates that can be found on our "Coronavirus Resource Page" under "Documents. Parish staff is working at how these mandates will effect our parishioners and how best to continue the mission of spreading the Gospel here in Webster County. We hope to have more information to you by Tuesday morning.

Distribution of Precious Blood and Shaking of Hands at Sign of Peace to be Suspended temporarily as in our area we experience great numbers of influenza cases and take precautionary measures for the possible risk of Caronavirus. This will begin immediately with no current end date set. EMHCs have been sent an e-mail explaining this.

Eric and I give, but we basically live paycheck to paycheck. We often pray about our finances, and it was exactly that, that I was praying about just a few days before. I was really worrying about it, wondering how we were going to get by. But then I did something I am not even proud to say out loud. I got mad. Talking to everyone in our parish, about stewardship of treasure was NOT what I was praying for. I was sure God and myself had our wires disconnected somewhere. We are excited to share that a Children’s Rosary prayer group is forming at our parish. This prayer group allows participation for children in kindergarten through 8th grade to come together to pray the Rosary. Adults are welcome and encouraged to come to the Children’s Rosary. Meetings will be held on the first Saturday of the month at 1:00 PM in St. Theresa’s Chapel at Sacred Heart. No prior knowledge of the Rosary is needed and rosaries and prayer books will be provided. We have gone live with Ministry Scheduler Pro, our liturgical ministry scheduling program! An introductory email was sent on Aug 10 to all liturgical ministers whose email addresses we have in our database. Please note that the MSP program is scheduling only Corpus Christi Masses for now and not Sacred Heart Masses; however, ALL liturgical ministers, regardless of location, will be able to make changes to their profile (address, phone, email). This is new to us as well as to you so please bear with us as we work through the phases of learning and implementing this program.
