We wanted to take a moment and update you regarding our response to the effects of the Coronavirus on parish life. *Beginning Friday, March 20th, 2020 the parish Business Office will be closed to the public. Staff will continue to work, but we ask that you make an appointment if you would like to come in.     We do have some good news! Begining Wednesday, March 18th, Corpus Christi Church will be open daily from 3:00-5:30pm for parishioners to come pray. This will be a come and go time of prayer.     It was announced that all Masses in the Diocese of Sioux City are to be suspended, beginning immediately, for 8 weeks.     Eric and I give, but we basically live paycheck to paycheck. We often pray about our finances, and it was exactly that, that I was praying about just a few days before. I was really worrying about it, wondering how we were going to get by. But then I did something I am not even proud to say out loud. I got mad. Talking to everyone in our parish, about stewardship of treasure was NOT what I was praying for. I was sure God and myself had our wires disconnected somewhere.     We are excited to share that a Children’s Rosary prayer group is forming at our parish. This prayer group allows participation for children in kindergarten through 8th grade to come together to pray the Rosary. Adults are welcome and encouraged to come to the Children’s Rosary. Meetings will be held on the first Saturday of the month at 1:00 PM in St. Theresa’s Chapel at Sacred Heart. No prior knowledge of the Rosary is needed and rosaries and prayer books will be provided.
