What mother or parent for that matter doesn’t want the very best for their children? In today’s Gospel, we see the mother of James and John fall at the feet of Jesus and ask that her sons be set on the right and left hand of Jesus in heaven.
The Holy Trinity Parish Distinguished Catholic Servant-Leadership Award is an annual award which pays tribute to an individual who has demonstrated servant leadership through outstanding initiative, generosity of time and talent, and an exceptional spirit of service in contributing to both the renewal and vitality of the Catholic Church. Through the individuals volunteering and spiritual commitment to Catholic virtues and teachings, their extraordinary service is recognized for their contributions to Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, and the common good. In addition to recognizing the honorees’ exemplary servant-leadership, the presentation of the award will offer an opportunity for the recipient to highlight any specific work they have been integrally involved in within the community.
Each year the Holy Trinity Parish Lumen Christi Award honors an individual, group, or family volunteering and serving in the parish who demonstrate how the power of faith can transform lives and the community. Lumen Christi recipients are the hidden heroes in our midst. They bring light and hope to the forgotten corners of our parish and community and inspire those around them to be the “Light of Christ” as well. Please submit all nominations in writing and include the name(s) of whom you are nominating as well as how the person/people have contributed to Holy Trinity Parish to Joyce at the parish office by March 2nd.
